Ever paddle out to find you’re the only girl in the lineup? Sick of thumbing through surf rags with pages of male athletes getting in on the goods?
Well, two surf-centric companies were too.
Pura Vida Adventures, pioneers of transformational surf retreats for women, and Carve Design, makers of apparel for ladies who dig the water, are upping the ante on the women’s surf movement. By combining their offerings and marketing efforts, the team hopes to increase participation in both the sport and the stoke factor.
This fall marks the 10th anniversary that Pura Vida Adventures, founded by surfer Tierza Eichner, has been nudging women to ditch the office for coastal waters, and connecting them with a culture that has gotten lost in today’s busy world. And Carve, founded by water girls Jennifer Hinton and Thayer Sylvester, is marking their 11th year as a staple in apparel that addresses the REAL needs of female athletes.
Obviously, the two companies couldn’t be a more perfect fit.
So how does this alliance affect you, as part of the female surf community?
Get in on the goods by contributing to a women’s movement that comes from the heart of three soulful athletes and entrepreneurs. We’ll be rolling out the stories, offerings, inspirational prose, and promotional contests as the year clips along. Simply sign up to receive the Pura Vida Adventure’s or Carve Design’s newsletters or get in on the action by following our Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Instagram conversations.
See ya in the lineup.
