Our all-inclusive New Year’s surf and yoga retreat in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, is the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and start the year with adventure. Our beautiful beachfront resort has it all—healthy gourmet cuisine, full-service spa treatments, an oceanfront pool, and the beach just steps away. Our caring team of highly trained professionals will guide you through an unforgettable week of expert small-group surf coaching, yoga, adventure, PLUS a special day trip to the waterfalls in neighboring Montezuma and an EPIC New Year’s Eve party.
And when New Year’s Eve arrives, we celebrate Costa Rica-style! Our epic beach party under the stars begins with a gourmet dinner, followed by live music and dancing until midnight and beyond. With bonfires glowing along the beach and fireworks lighting up the coastline, it’s an unforgettable way to ring in the New Year.

Surf, practice yoga, jump into other adventurous activities, or spend your entire trip relaxing at the spa…it’s up to you!
No two days are exactly alike! Our schedule flows with the surf conditions, the week’s adventures, and a little Pura Vida spontaneity.
Morning
- Beachside yoga class to start the day energized!

Absolutely! Complete beginners are welcome, along with experienced surfers. Our expert small-group coaching meets you at your level, with a maximum 3:1 student-to-instructor ratio in the whitewater and 2:1 outside, so you’ll get plenty of personalized attention throughout the week.
Definitely! Around 30% of our guests arrive solo, and New Year’s is an incredible week to meet new people. Our retreats are intentionally small and community-focused, making it easy to feel part of the group from day one. We don’t match solo travelers with roommates, so guests traveling alone reserve a private room.
Absolutely! New Year’s is a fantastic week for families to experience Costa Rica together. Our retreat welcomes guests ages 12 and older, and we offer special discounts for families of three or more. With surfing, yoga, adventure, incredible food, and an epic New Year’s Eve celebration on the beach, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
For starters, you get an extra day in paradise! Our New Year’s retreat is 8 days/7 nights instead of our usual 7 days/6 nights. Along with all the surfing, yoga, luxury accommodations, gourmet meals, massage, and Pura Vida fun of a regular PVA retreat, New Year’s also includes an afternoon trip to Montezuma for lunch and a waterfall hike, plus our epic New Year’s Eve beach celebration with gourmet dinner, live music, dancing, bonfires, and fireworks.
